Fun Facts regarding "Mermaid Girl":
Worked On: May 21 [Imagery] & 22 [All], 2014
Released On: ???
Serial Numbers: #A-255 / #M-188

* The BPM was stolen from another simfile. I would've arrived
at the same conclusion anyway, so there's no reason *not* to
take it. I have no idea who actually wrote that simfile
(there are no details in its .sm file or any other indications,
which is why I believe it's so important to put your name in
the .sm's Credit field and/or use a CDTitle), but they get
  credit for determining the BPM.

* This simfile is a one-up attempt on it, as they used the
short version. Not to say the original simfile was bad; it
was actually quite fun to play. I just figured it'd be nice
to have all 5 difficulties for the long version.

* I'm unsure of the source of the original images from the
original simfile, but mine were an easy shoe-in: I used
images from the anime "Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch."
Never seen it, by the way; I really should. However, that
said, I'm not sure if the song is from the anime in any
  way, shape or form.

* The Expert chart actually managed to turn out more difficult
than the original stepartist's chart (which was rated Hard/8,
but should have been a 9 - I'd even changed it for inclusion
into Picks Pack 1) - it's a fairly easy 10 whose only real
tricks are some step-jumping and some handplants - which at
140 BPM should pose your typical 10 player no trouble at all.

* The Hard chart is a pretty straightforward 8. If you can
clear other slightly technical 8s (see ITG2's "Robotix" [Hard]),
you should have no major difficulties clearing this chart.

* Medium is a pretty solid 6. If you can clear other 6s,
then you should be able to sing this song with your feet
without being claimed by the deep blue sea. Just a note,
this was originally going to use some isolated 16ths in
the appropriate locations, but I decided against it, as
I perceived early on that that would boost it to a 7 -
an unnecessary step, as Hard is already an 8.

* Easy is a 3, and a pretty easy one at that. At least it
has some character; some of the notes are spaced differently
throughout the song (although there aren't any blue ones).

* Novice is just barely a 2, and it has very little character;
it's still fun, but not at all difficult to follow. If
you're one of those newbies who's looking for something
notable to clear, this isn't it, unless you're looking
specifically to say you've cleared a long-version song.
